CHARACTER
Name: Maeve
True Name: Maeve Millay
Canon: (Season 3, episode 8)
Age: Programmed age 38, chronological age is like 20-30 years
History: Wiki
Powers/Abilities: She can speak multiple languages due to her coding and her job as a Madam; she can talk to other technology and control it (it's cool if that's gone here or only just halfway working?); she can fight fairly well, using both her fists and a katana to fight at times; she can be fairly charming, both due to the programming and her job as a Madam.
Inventory: The outfit she's wearing with her katana
Job History: She worked as the Madam of the Mariposa. After that, she was working as a hired gun/sword mostly. She was supposed to help take down Dolores in exchange for being reunited with her daughter. She didn't get paid for that, tbh.
Suppressions: Compile a short list of aspects of the self that the character attempts to repress, and whether they are successful or not. i.e. fears, fantasies, desires, “mad” thoughts.
*Her intentions and feelings: She doesn't really hide them a lot. However, when it benefits her to play along, she will. Especially when the side effect of not playing along is to be trapped inside a simulation of her worst nightmare. She also had to play along for a while pretending she wasn't aware of her being awake until it benefited her not to. She's found ways to push the Madam part of who she is forward in order to mask a feeling or deceive others.
*Her feelings about her daughter: She has just, once again, lost the chance to be reunited with her daughter because she cannot find the key. So she has to suppress all her emotions regarding that to keep moving forward, to get to the place where she will be with her again.
*Her true nature: Going into the game, she's suppressing what she is. She doesn't want to be known as a Host. In a new place where no one knows about her, all she knows of humans is that they are willing to take advantage of her at any given time. She's also not entirely sure how to exist around other robotic types because they have also killed and tried to take advantage of her or make her do things that she is not interested in. She wants the connections, but it's hard to let people in when you don't know if they'll respect you or even try to kill you because of what you are. It's also difficult to get close when people when you're hiding a big part of yourself.
Greatest Fear: Discovering that the key to being able to be reunited with her daughter is gone forever.
Greatest Desire: To be reunited with her daughter
Greatest Regret: Not being able to protect Hector from dying

Canon Update
Character Name: Maeve Millay
Canon: Westworld
New Canon Point: The end of season 4
Have their suppressions, fears, desires, or regrets changed? How so?: I think yeah. Cause she's dead now. She's known since her conversation with Bernard that there is no path that leads to either her or him surviving this and making it to the new world. So there's a lot of things that have changed for her.
Her desire has changed because there is no way to see her daughter. She knows this. So she just wants her daughter to be able to live, to be free, and to find happiness wherever she is. Her fear is that even in this new world, the old world will affect things too much and it will negatively impact everyone that is there. Her regret is that she won't be able to be there for her daughter after this. She knows it was worth it, really, but she can't help but feel it.
She's obviously suppressing herself and who she is less here. Most of her suppressions are her emotions. She's pushed those down deep. She spent about seven years alone, talking only to a few locals, avoiding thinking about her friends, the people that she came to care about, and just sort of refused to interact. So when she did, it ended up a biiit catastrophic. So moving forward, she's had to really go back to suppressing her emotions because there's something she had to do that wasn't finding her daughter. She had to keep pushing that off and pushing her feelings about it off. A part of her really is suppressing that sadness at the realization that there was never an ending where she got to be reunited with her daughter. There was never a chance to have that happiness. This is almost certainly going to bleed over into things on the ship because she's trying not to be an emotional burden on people.
