I don't really need anything, darling. I don't need sleep or food. I appreciate the offer, though, but I doubt she'd want too many people near her statue either way.

And I'd rather she feel safe since it's for her comfort anyway.

Looking after her statue during the day. I'd like to protect her from further violations of her person while she is asleep and unable to defend herself. I know how that feels. After Westworld and the things that happened there. If I can save someone from that, then I feel it is my duty to.

But yeah. You’re right. I just also worry a bit about you missing out on some of the stuff that goes around here, since I know what it’s like to have a schedule different than anybody else’s. I used to work the morning news back home, so I’d have to get up for work at around 3 or 4 AM, so I went to bed super early and took naps in the afternoon.

I can give you some recommendations if that's something you're curious about.

You were upset. But at least you are willing to take information in and see things as you can. I will speak with her and try to see if I can't help her get to a point where she's less aggressive toward humans, but I don't expect it to be overnight. Much like it took me more than a month to trust any human on board, I'm sure time is the hardest ingredient to be certain of. I can't promise she will like everyone either. But I have some people I know I can ease her into.

[Sharky for one. Ruby she'll see about as well. Phil would have been on the list, but given everything, she's leaving him off of it for now. She'll have to ease both Marc and Demona at the same time perhaps. But given his home world, he'll likely take it better than some. Especially if she explains things.]

Why not? All I seem to fish up these days is decent sci-fi, self-aggrandizing realistic fiction, and mediocre mystery novels.

No, of course not. I don't expect her to like humans or trust us. Just figure out how to get along, maybe. It would probably be pretty entitled of me to expect more.
